Big Strides for the Coolibah Drive Shared Path! 🎉 June 2025 Update

We're excited to share the latest on the Coolibah Drive Shared Path Project! Great news - we've made fantastic progress in its design phase! We've been busy behind the scenes, pouring over your incredible community suggestions, conducting detailed site surveys, and meticulously mapping out the ideal path that navigates around existing infrastructure and our beautiful established trees.

We've successfully wrapped up that initial design work! Now, we're eagerly anticipating the final design documents and supporting paperwork from our amazing traffic engineers, who are aiming to have everything finalised within the next month.

And here's an exciting addition: we're planning to weave in some stunning design elements from the Kununurra Reimagined Town Centre Master Plan! This means when the path is built, it'll feel like a natural extension of our town centre upgrades, with coordinated materials, street furniture, and landscaping.

While construction isn't funded or scheduled just yet, completing these detailed designs is a massive leap forward. It puts us in the best possible position to secure the necessary funding and bring this fantastic shared path to life in a future budget!
