Progress Update - March 2025

The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley is thrilled to report that long-awaited works to extend the runway at East Kimberley Regional Airport (EKRA) are underway.

Contractors are now stripping topsoil and completing necessary drainage works; these works will continue until the end of April. The bulk of earthworks for Stage 1 of the EKRA Runway Extension and Associated Infrastructure Upgrades project will subsequently begin - in May or June.
