Progress Update - April 2025

Preparations are underway to advance the next stage of Kununurra Regional Multi-Purpose Emergency Evacuation Centre Stage 1, with Shire officers currently finalising a Request for Tender (RFT) for design works.

The RFT is scheduled for release to the market in early May.

The first stage of this project will focus on a detailed assessment of the existing building, examining its structural integrity as well as the capacity, condition, and potential for expansion of its services and infrastructure.

This foundational work will guide future design and ensure the facility meets the region's long-term emergency management needs.
