The Federal Government's $19.6 million commitment was announced by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese during his visit to Kununurra in January 2025.
The Shire awaits a Grant Agreement.
Acknowledgement of Country
The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberly acknowledges the the traditional custodians of the East Kimberley, the Doolboong, Gajerrong, Gamberee, Kadjerong, Kija, Kwini, Miwa, Miriwoong, Ngarinyin, Worla, Worora, Wunambul and Yiiji people.
We pay our respects to Elders both past and present and their connection to the land, waters and community.The Shire is committed to forging stronger relationships and a deeper respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians. By respecting the diversity and history of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community we continue to move towards reconciliation.

What content do we own?
This website contains the copyrighted material, trademarks, patents, trade secrets and other proprietary information (“Intellectual Property”) of Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley and its suppliers and licensors. Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley owns and retains all proprietary rights in the intellectual property. All intellectual property in the content of this site including without limitation to text, software, source code, pages, documents and online graphics, photographs, sounds, audio, video and other interactive features are owned by or licensed to us.
Any original content that you submit or post on our site may be made available to the public and allows users to share your content (with the end user acknowledging your contribution) under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 Australian License.
